Hawzah News Agency (Qom, Iran) – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mofid Husseini Kouhsari, Head of Islamic Seminaries' Office for International Relations, met with Grand Ayatollah Nasser Makarem Shirazi, a senior Shia scholar, at Imam al-Sajjad (as) seminary school in Qom on Monday, May 1.
At the beginning of the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Kouhsari congratulated the senior cleric on the auspicious birth anniversaries of Shia Imams in Sha'ban month; he hailed Ayatollah Makarem's efforts in reviving the seminary of Indonesia saying, "Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi revived the Islamic seminary of Indonesia by his unyielding support and valuable guidelines; every cleric who has studied in the seminary of Indonesia is thankful to this great scholar for his major contributions in developing the seminary."
Head of Islamic Seminaries' Office for International Relations then pointed out the growing need and enthusiasm towards Ahlubayt's (as) teachings worldwide. "Unfortunately, the Islamic seminaries' full potential in promoting Islam as well as publishing scholarly works and articles in an international scale has not been completely realized so far."
In the end, Hujjat al-Islam Kouhsari elaborated on the new strategies for promoting Islamic seminaries' media activities.
